Literally sobbing。I loved the writing style of this book, it made me feel like I was the main character, like the full picture of what happened was just scratching on the surface of my brain。 The ending had so many ohhh moments and left me broken。 Couldn’t put it down!!

After finishing the book I felt like I should have known sooner how it would end。 Great psychological book but a little dull at parts。

I did not see that coming

have had this on my list for so long。 not sure why it took me so many years to read it but glad I finally did。 until halfway through the book I wasn’t sure where it was going but it sort of all clicked。 great read if you like sleepy MV-like beach towns, stories of power/ money hungry families and the tragedies that bring them together

I didn't realize this was a YA book, but despite it's teen-geared theme, I enjoyed it。 The book explores teen angst, family dynamics, wealth and privledge。 The story focuses on the consequences of a tragically bad decision made by a group of 15 year olds。 The story unfolds and the ending was unexpected and very well written。If you were OK with The Hunger Games level of writing, you will be fine with We Were Liars。 I didn't realize this was a YA book, but despite it's teen-geared theme, I enjoyed it。 The book explores teen angst, family dynamics, wealth and privledge。 The story focuses on the consequences of a tragically bad decision made by a group of 15 year olds。 The story unfolds and the ending was unexpected and very well written。If you were OK with The Hunger Games level of writing, you will be fine with We Were Liars。 。。。more

Great book, I especially liked the end, because we now know the raw truth behind the fire。 But if you choose to read it, I recommend that you bring tissues with you。

Just wondering what the point of this book was at all。 I spent 3/4 waiting for the plot to start and 1/4 waiting for it to just end already。

I think the book was way overhyped。 I’ve heard such good stories about it, saw people cry after an apparent huge plot twist and people who couldn’t stop talking about it。 Don’t get me wrong, I liked the book good enough, but it got a little boring near the end。 It took me a good week to get to the end of such a small book。 The plot twist left me wondering for the night, I didn’t expect it, but it didn’t get me to tears。 The book is good enough, but it’s not a must on your bookshelf。 Get it at th I think the book was way overhyped。 I’ve heard such good stories about it, saw people cry after an apparent huge plot twist and people who couldn’t stop talking about it。 Don’t get me wrong, I liked the book good enough, but it got a little boring near the end。 It took me a good week to get to the end of such a small book。 The plot twist left me wondering for the night, I didn’t expect it, but it didn’t get me to tears。 The book is good enough, but it’s not a must on your bookshelf。 Get it at the library instead。 。。。more

This book was slow and was confusing in the beginning but the ending was really good。 Nice quick read and would recommend if you’re in a reading slump。

I give this book 3。90 so I just round up to 4, great ending worth a read but wouldn’t reread。 The rating was made up mostly by the twist。

twist at the end was insane but i felt like it was super pretentious sometimes and used like overly dramatic language

It literally had no point。。?? The writing style was annoying and it’s really not a mystery。 I personally felt the characters were too underdeveloped/unlikable for the twist to actually mean anything and leave an emotional impact on me。 There’s an annoyingly pretentious narrator, the metaphors are horribly intertwined in the story, and it was just overall “bleh”。

。。。more

What just happened is my first thought in reviewing this book。 I was not expecting that ending at all, and, yes, I am crying。 I loved this book。 I especially enjoyed the inclusion of the fairytales and relating those back to the story。 I am giving it 4/5 stars simply because I was confused for a lot of the book as to what time frame she was narrating (summer 15 or summer 17)。 Also, I know you are supposed to be confused about her accident and what happened, but sometimes I felt like I just had n What just happened is my first thought in reviewing this book。 I was not expecting that ending at all, and, yes, I am crying。 I loved this book。 I especially enjoyed the inclusion of the fairytales and relating those back to the story。 I am giving it 4/5 stars simply because I was confused for a lot of the book as to what time frame she was narrating (summer 15 or summer 17)。 Also, I know you are supposed to be confused about her accident and what happened, but sometimes I felt like I just had no clue at all what was going on, and I kept having to reread parts。 Overall, it was an amazing book, and I definitely would recommend。 。。。more

I liked this book。。。 pretty deep for a young adult novel。 Good twist at the end which keeps you thinking and reflecting about different parts of the novel even once you’re done。 I’d recommend it to other adults, but maybe not teens。

Nice read。 Good twist。 Slow。 Kind of felt cheated at the end。 More like a 3。5。

The first few chapters are written in a way that is kind of hard to follow and get hooked to, but it is well worth it。 You get hooked to the story and want to know the twist

Spent the last 30 pages crying my eyes as the plot twist is better than I could have ever expected。 Amazing fast paced book, got me out of my book slump anyway。 Will deffo read again and have already recommended it to everyone I know。 AMAZING

My exact score is more of a 3。5/5。 After all the hype surrounding this book, I finally got around to seeing for myself。 Sadly, I was a little disappointed。The writing style of this was definitely one of those things that you either loved or hated--I was on the "hate" side。 It was very odd。 and I didn't really see how it added to the story in any way。 Of course, I can't write a review on this book without talking about the big twist ending which was the most interesting thing about the book。 It l My exact score is more of a 3。5/5。 After all the hype surrounding this book, I finally got around to seeing for myself。 Sadly, I was a little disappointed。The writing style of this was definitely one of those things that you either loved or hated--I was on the "hate" side。 It was very odd。 and I didn't really see how it added to the story in any way。 Of course, I can't write a review on this book without talking about the big twist ending which was the most interesting thing about the book。 It left me questioning everything I read previously, and the only word that I can use to describe it is "Woah。" It definitely made all the semi-interesting events that happened prior be way more interesting。。。kinda。I probably wouldn't recommend this book to anyone since I only found it interesting at the end, but if you would like a quick read with a big plot twist that might leave you watery-eyed, definitely pick this one up。 。。。more
